The wonderful Toni Garrn and her team from the Toni Garrn Foundation were welcomed with school wide open arms to celebrate their generosity and inspiration at Wioso Secondary School. Toni wrote

β€œThis one was special @almamatereducation - It was the first project we completed in Ghana

On our first trip to Wioso we planned to build a dorm. Just months later, we filled it with over 100 girls for our very first camp. By 2022, we were back to tackle the second floor and the roof.

Thanks to a generous donor, the dream is fully realized. As of 2024, the boarding house is complete and could host up to 300 girls.

Today we have 280 girls living on campus, ensuring they have the safety and stability to graduate πŸ‡¬πŸ‡β€

In rural Ghana, boarding houses are often what make the difference between educating a girl and them leaving school. Alma Mater is profoundly grateful to the Toni Garrn Foundation for supporting not only the girls dormitory buildings, but all the girls at the school and the local community. This is where partnerships are so valuable - sharing a passion and a belief that education should be a choice, and available to all children, no matter where they live.
