BOATENG - AGE 18

Boateng is my name. I am eighteen years old. My Parents are Mr. and Mrs. Boateng. My father died when I was five years old. My mother, Juliana Boateng who is now working as a tomatoes seller is the one taking care of me and my eight siblings.

My mother has tried very hard to take care of my siblings and I since my father died. I am studying hard because I want to become the Minister of Education so that I can help people who are in need. I like playing games like football and netball. I like swimming and also like to crack jokes for people to laugh.

SETHINA - AGE 18

Sethina is my name. I am eighteen years old. The name of my mother is Georgina Achiaa. She is a petty trader. My father died when I was five years old so my mother is the one who takes care of me.

Singing, reading and sharing ideas with my friends are my hobbies. I like helping my mother to sell her things whenever I am not in school. I want to become a nurse in future because I want to help people keep themselves clean by educating them on the need for being hygienic and also how to exercise frequently to stay strong and healthy.

 I study History, Government, Christian Religious Studies (CRS) and literature in school. I like motivating people and also help them in terms of need.

DORIS - AGE 18

Doris is my name. I am 18 years old. I am dark in complexion. The names of my parents are Kwaku Frimpong and Abena Serwaa. I have one sibling. My parents divorced when I was two years old. I stay with my mother now.

My mother is a hair-dresser but now she can’t work again due to how she struggled to take care of us. I work with someone during vacation to take care of myself.

I would like to be a medical doctor in future and help the sick. I read and sometimes play football during my leisure time. The food I like best is plantain with beans stew.

FOSU - AGE 17

Fosu is my name. I am 17 years old. My parents are Mr. and Mrs. Mensah. My parents are divorced. I live with my mother. She is the one who takes care of me. I have three siblings, two girls and one boy.

 My mother works as a shop keeper. My best hobbies are to watch movies and most especially play video games. Despite my parents being divorced,  I still haven’t given up on my dreams.

I am determined to become a lawyer in future so that I can deal with men who infringe on women’s right like what my dad did to my mother and later divorced her to suffer.

My mother is struggling to take care of me so I will do my best to be successful.

ROSINA - AGE 16

Rosina is my name. I am sixteen years old. The names of my parents are Mr. and Mrs. Arthur. My father is trader and my mother is a business woman. I live with my parents in a town called Obuasi.  My parents are alive and have 6 children, 4 girls and 2 boys.

I take my education seriously because I want my parents’ wishes to come true. I use my leisure time to read story books and I also like to crack jokes. The food I like best is ampesi with kontomire stew and boiled egg. I like that food because, we are many and that is what my parents can afford

OSEI - AGE 15

Osei is my name. I am 15 years old. My parents are alive and they work as farmers. My father is called Agono  Kwo jenga and my mum is also called Agono Rita  from Navorongo Region of Ghana and I have 6 siblings.

I attend Alma mater education and I am serious to pass my exams, and also I want to be a doctor in future, so that I will be able to take care of my parents.

I David the things that I like and also interested of it, that is reading of story book and playing games, I am very respectful and hardworking, when I am doing something.
